Auralite 23 is an unique type of amethyst is mined from a site in Canada. The mine named it Auralite 23, trademarked it, and claimed it contains 23 inclusions and 35 elements, even asserting that it's the oldest mineral on Earth with verification by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). However, these statements have been debunked by geologists.

Here’s what experts have pointed out:
1. The Earth’s oldest mineral is zircons, not Auralite 23.
2. The claim of 23 inclusions is geologically impossible, as these minerals form in different environments. Additionally, identifying 23 inclusions in a single crystal using current technology like Raman spectroscopy is highly unlikely.
3. A rock containing dozens of elements is common in nature, not unique to Auralite 23.
4. No official GIA report has been produced to support their claims.

In reality, Auralite 23 is a type of amethyst with inclusions, which is common for amethyst stones. Most Auralite 23 crystals contain only two to several inclusions, not 23. 

While the marketing claims may not hold up, that doesn’t take away from the natural beauty and energy this crystal possesses. Amethyst with various inclusions can offer a broader range of benefits, making it a versatile and lovely stone to work with—especially at a reasonable price.

In terms of spiritual properties, American crystal author Judy Hall, in her book "The Crystal Bible 3", notes that Auralite 23 can balance all chakras, calm the mind, provide deep spiritual healing, and foster conscious connections with higher dimensions.
