Kimberlite may not be widely known, but you’ve certainly heard of its companion mineral—diamond. Kimberlite is the primary source rock for diamonds. To find diamonds, miners must first locate Kimberlite. Nearly 80% of the world's diamonds are extracted from Kimberlite.

Named after Kimberley, South Africa, Kimberlite originates from deep within the Earth's crust, approximately 150-200 kilometers below the surface, much deeper than other igneous rocks. The immense pressure and heat are responsible for the formation of diamonds, which are then brought to the surface through Kimberlite volcanic pipes. The entire process, from formation to eruption, is filled with intense energy, making Kimberlite an extraordinarily powerful mineral.

Kimberlite contains minerals such as chromium diopside, olivine, garnet, biotite, and various trace elements, enhancing its healing properties.
