自行DIY時，萬壽菊精油的淨化特性，很適合用在腳部，即使是有老繭的腳也可以用。不過，若用在腳部以外的地方，務必保持低濃度。萬壽菊精油有光敏性，建議用在陽光照不到的部位，或夜間使用。
